Two friends decided to spend the weekend bear hunting in the mountains. They rented a small cabin deep in the woods, packed their rifles, and agreed on a simple plan: one would stay behind and prepare the place, while the other went out to look for a bear.
After breakfast, the first man grabbed his rifle and headed into the forest.
It did not take long before he spotted a massive bear near a clearing. The bear was huge, mean-looking, and definitely not in the mood for company.
The man aimed carefully and fired.
Unfortunately, he only wounded it.
The bear let out a furious roar and charged straight at him.
The man dropped his rifle and ran for the cabin as fast as his legs could carry him. He was fast, but the bear was faster, gaining on him with every step.
Just as he reached the open cabin door, the man tripped over a root and fell flat on his face.
The bear, too close behind to stop, stumbled over him and went tumbling headfirst through the doorway into the cabin.
The hunter jumped up, slammed the door shut, and leaned against it, panting.
Then he shouted to his friend inside:
“You skin this one while I go get another!”
